You ARE who you PRETEND to be

Well... that's a quote or a tagline of a movie I currently downloaded. Title is Unicorn City. It's an indie film and not so popular in my society (and I love seeing indie movie). Today I was sick so I didn't get to school, I ended up watching this remarkable movie.
So the plot is about Voss a jobless gamer that tries to apply to gaming company. When he's being interviewed the admin said that he has to be a leader gamer. Not just a gamer but also a LEADER. Voss argues that he has already a leader but the admin doesn't believe. so he asks Voss to comeback apply and show the evidence that he is a leader, for atleast 50 people. Voss goes home frustrated. I think he just so unlucky. Like he has a strange brother Clancy live together and a sensitive leader of his society of gaming, ShadowHawk who is a fucking retarded man. Fortunately he has a lovely freak best friend, Marsha.
I think Marsha such a geek but smart-ass girl 'cause she can think many ideas to solve Voss problems. She is gamer too and I love her character. She is pretty, blonde, tall, and suppa-freak hahaha :D She is innocently dating a user she has been accompanied to fight online but already broke him because Voss tells that Tanick (this game user) may not be good. Marsha mistakenly this words and thinks that Voss may in love with her, but Voss actually doesn't give a fuck.
From Marsha's suggestion Voss makes a Utopian city for a gamer in a peace area near forest. Hahaha Marsha is such a brilliant odd girl. She makes Voss a coat, breakfast, and unicorn cupcakes. By this Voss receives his vision to built Unicorn City (he sees unicorn poster at Marsha's house). He phones all his best friends to gather and asks Marsha to filming all his action as a leader to get a job.
Finally Voss builds this Unicorn City. All people in here are all gamers. They must acts and dress like their character. They also have to choose their user ID. Like Voss uses Magmald and Marsha uses Roshana.
Marsha feels unsure with her feeling but her emo girl persuades her to dance in a night. Marsha dances and at the time Voss looks like he falls for Marsha. But he just such a looser that says 'You're different'. Aaaah idiot right?
Shadow Hawk then comes to the camp and tempts the gamers with foods. He admits to Marsha that he is Tanick (Marsha online boyfriend). He sends fake reporters to shoots Unicorn City. Voss and Clancy believes that then jump into the van. But the reporter trick them out into elsewhere forest. Felling so frustrated, Voss and Clancy fight and Voss says spicy words to his brother. It makes Clancy sad and left Voss to go home. Voss feels sorry, he comes back to Unicorn City just to helps the residences when they ambushed by the local polices. He chase Shadow Hawk out of the forest and jumps to helps Marsha. Wheeew so sweet I like this scene :D :))
But many cops come along and arrest them.
Voss and his best friends attend the judgement of their action. Luckily the judge is a gamer too so they safe in order the judge asks them to built a new Unicorn City in town and let him to be the king. They deal.

Voss meets the admin again to show his video and notes as a gamer and leader. The admin badly laughs and feel so inspires by Voss crazy idea to built a utopia land. The admin accept him, but Voss finally figures out what best for him so he refuses the job surely. He ends up with no job again but this time he feels happy because has Marsha on his side. On the launching day of new Unicorn City, Voss silently  confess his feeling to Marsha by her note :D The film ends up with Clancy on the military camp receives package from Voss that contains his awkward-sword-that-definitely-is-a-water-pipe -__- :D

This film is so funny. You'll laugh at entirely plot. Hahaha :D You are who you pretend to be. That's so sickly right. If you pretend to be a leader you will be a leader. If you pretend to be a looser you will be the one. So just pretend to be the the best side of you and see what will happen to your life...
Now I'll pretend to be smart and healthy girl so I can comeback to school tomorrow and finish all the task I missed today =___=

One Thousand and One Nights

Today at the last period, Bu Wahyu our Bahasa Indonesia teacher taught us about hikayat. It's an old epic literature that use ancient Melayu language. The story usually about fairytale, palaces, kings n queens, and other fantastic characters.
Then accidentally she told about the story, hikayat that she knew and very famous: One Thousand and One Nights (Kisah 1001 Malam).
"There is a king who actually wise, good, and low-profiled," she told us. "But because of his wife have an affair with her slave, he becomes very angry. Then he kills his wife and all the slaves. Since then he thinks that all women in the world are all the same. So he becomes very wicked, cruel, rough, and killer. For three years he asks his vizier to search virgin woman to married with. But the after the first night he always kills his new brides, yes after he enjoys them.-___- Until the virgins in that kingdom are almost gone. Then he marries a smart girl. In the first night, the girl tells a tale that ended unfinished so the king is curious about the ending. But the girl says that she won't finish the story because she will dead the morning. The king, because of his curiosity about the hikayat, postpones the execution until the next night. But the next night his new wife continuing a story and adds another new story but before it finished the time for execution is coming. The king postpones again the execution. It happens until 1001 nights. Wonderful right? *Can't you calculate how long is that? 2 half year more*, finally the wife never gets killed by the king. He and She lives happily ever after."
Then after coming home I searched on Google and find much more about the hikayat. The king name is Syahrayar and the queen is Syahrezad. Omooo what a beautiful name!
And I have a feeling that sultan Syahrayar is handsome! Because it shows on every tail of the tale that he just keep silent and hoping Shyahrezar continuing her story. No word. Speak just if it necessary. So cold :3
And somehow I think every guy that cold is cool and handsome at the same time :D

Oeroeg, sebuah novel tentang persahabatan dan jati diri

Seorang tokoh 'aku' yang diceritakan oleh Hella Hassae merupakan orang Belanda yang lahir dan tinggal di Sukabumi karena ayahnya bekerja sebagai administrateur kebun teh, menceritakan perjalanan persahabatannya bersama anak pembantu pribumi bernama Oeroeg. sejak lahir mereka selalu bersama.

Ibu Oeroeg dan Ibu 'aku' juga akrab. karena ayah terlalu menghabiskan waktu di perkebunan, ia jadi menomor duakan anaknya. itu sebabnya si anak dibiarkan berteman bersama si budak agar gak kesepian.

Suatu hari Ayah Oeroeg meninggal di sebuah telaga karena menyelamatkan 'aku'. Sebagai gantinya, ayah 'aku' membiayai hidup Oeroeg dan keluarganya, bahkan sampai menyekolahkan 'Oeroeg'. Ketika ibu 'aku' pergi selamanya bersama mandor ayahnya, ayahnya mengirim 'aku' dan Oeroeg ke rumah Lida, wanita Belanda pemilik pondok. Tujuannya untuk bersekolah, alih-alih ayahnya pergi ke luar negeri karena sudah pensiun.

Waktu terus berlalu. Lida sudah berkeputusan untuk menyekolahkan Oeroeg lebih tinggi lagi, karena ayah 'aku' menolak membiayai lagi. 'aku' melanjutkan ke sekolah berasrama khusus pemuda Belanda, sementara Oeroeg sekolah di sekolah hindia.

Namun  Oeroeg yang dewasa sangat berbeda. Ia selalu ingin jadi bagian dari Eropa. meniru2 cowok2 bule, tingkah lakunya sok, sering klabing, dansa, dll., membuat 'aku' terkejut. Kesan sederhana yang waktu di Sukabumi begitu kental, kini sudah hilang... Ia mati-matian berusaha menghapus masa kecilnya di Sukabumi. 'Aku' selalu dimarahi jika mencoba mengungkit2 itu lagi.

Persahabatan mereka makin lama makin merenggang. Itu karena perbedaan jalan pikiran mereka. Oeroeg tahu dirinya bukan Belanda dan berusaha memeranginya. Sedangkan 'aku' masih ingin berteman meski perbedaan antara mereka begitu nyata.

Sementara ayah 'aku' kembali ke Indonesia untuk menyuruh kuliah di Holland. Ia kembali bersama ibu tiri yang masih muda.

'Aku' akhirnya melanjutkan sekolah tinggi di Delft, Holland, setelah berpamitan secara tidak baik dengan Oeroeg dan Lida. Saat ia lulus, ia masuk militer dan dikirim untuk perbaikan jembatan di Indonesia. Kabar yang terdengar tentang negara itu begitu mengerikan. Ibu tirinya begitu trauma, dan ayahnya meninggal di sana.

Saat itu terjadi Agresi Militer Belanda. 'Aku' dan teman2nya mengunjungi Sukabumi. 'Aku' meminta ijin berjalan2 ke telaga--tempat ayah 'Oeroeg' dulu meninggal--seorang diri. Tapi di sana dia malah bertemu dengan Oeroeg yang mengarahkan revolver, mengusir dengan penampilan yang menyedihkan. Rupanya Oeroeg merupakan pejuang Indonesia atas kekolonialan Belanda... dan ia menganggap 'aku' bagian dari mereka, musuh yang harus dibasmi.

Di akhir cerita. Oeroeg akhirnya pergi meninggalkan 'aku' karena takut ditangkap oleh militer Belanda lainnya. Persahabatan mereka terputus. 'Aku' merasa sedih dan terasingkan dari tanah kelahirannya sendiri.

...lebih tinggi atau rendah karena warna kulit wajahmu atau karena siapa ayahmu-- itu omong kosong. Oeroeg kawanmu, kan? Kalau memang ia kawanmu-- bagaimana bisa ia lebih rendah dibanding kau atau yang lain?

Itu kata2 dari Gerard (penggati mandor lama yang kabur bersama ibu 'aku') kepada 'aku' saat masih kecil.

Music Box

Sely had a best friend, his name was Eric. They had been a friendship since they were 3 years old. When they were 7 years old, he loft Sely. Eric moved to Russia, before he left he gave the music box to Sely. That music box could only sound we enter and turn the key.

"Eric, we are BFF. So please come back soon," said Selly.
"OK, Sel," replied Eric. Then he turn the key on the music box. They heard the beautiful melody from it.
"Eric, keep this key. One day if we meet, give it to me, then turn it. So, the day when we meet is the day when we hear this melody for second time."
So, Eric took care the key and left Sely.
